Nominate a Nonprofit to Receive a Donation
At our April 2026 Meeting
About the Nominating Process
Members of 100+ Women Who Care-Chittenden County may nominate one nonprofit organization serving Chittenden County each quarter.
There is no limit on the number of nominations an organization can receive. In other words, multiple members can nominate the same organization.
Nominations close a week before each quarterly meeting. Each nomination is assigned a number, after which steering committee members meet and randomly choose three finalists via the online tool pickerwheel.com.
We then invite representatives of the three selected organizations to present to our membership at our upcoming quarterly meeting.
Members who attend the meeting (either in person or online) then hear the presentations and then vote for the primary recipient of our pooled donations for that quarter. The primary recipient receives 50% of the pot, and the other two finalists share the remainder, receiving 25% each.
GUIDELINES
You must be a member of 100 Women Who Care-Chittenden County to nominate a nonprofit organization — only one nonprofit each quarter — to receive a portion of our pooled quarterly donation. The organization being nominated must meet all of these criteria:
It must be recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization OR have a valid nonprofit partner that is able to accept donations on its behalf.
It must serve residents of Chittenden County and be able to designate 100% of any donation from us to serve only Chittenden County residents.
It must have been in operation for at least one year as of the date of the quarterly meeting for which it is being nominated.
If it has received a gift from us in the past, it must be eligible to be renominated (see here).
Schools, booster clubs, PTOs, political parties, fraternal groups, and religious organizations are not eligible.
You can view the list of nominees for this quarter to date, along with the number of members who have nominated them (in parentheses) if they have received more than one nomination.
